Director Internal Sales Job Description
  
The Director of Internal Sales works within the sales organization, responsible for coaching and developing a team of Internal Wholesalers to drive annuity sales growth for the Retirement division within their distribution channel.  This position requires an individual that is passionate about developing others, taking a strong sales-focused approach with professional communication skills, hard work ethic, and a competitive drive to succeed. 

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
•Leads team of Annuity Internal Wholesalers
•Participates in the processes of talent recruiting, talent selection, salary, and incentive review (if applicable), and promotional decisions
•Assist Protective’s Training and Distribution Operations department on development of onboarding content, licensing, and scheduling coordination for new hires
•Conduct regular information gathering sessions with sales leaders to ensure channel needs are being met and determine if adjustments are needed
•Set performance standards, review performance, and provide regular quarterly performance feedback sessions
•Supports changes to strategy and implements required changes at a department/work unit level
•Develops, enables, and motivates team members to do the work required to meet established productivity and quality standards
•Coordinates key staff functions with other team members and resources to ensure work requirements and department/work unit needs are met. i.e. training, quality assurance, and scheduling 
•Promotes and enhances a team environment
•Cooperates with others, shares information, and assists others in a way necessary to assure department goals are met
•Conduct call monitoring and call coaching sessions to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the Wholesalers selling ability
•Conducts frequent team meetings to deliver key messages and training to team in addition to receive reciprocated information from team members
•Provides coaching and ongoing feedback for individual team members
•Represent team in meetings with management members for various departments
•Complete additional tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications & Job Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) 
•Strong leadership skills – leads by example
•Quality communicator; comfortable in 1-on-1 and large group meetings
•Completes work with minimal supervision
•Utilizes time management to achieve high quality results
•Must be reliable and dependable
•Demonstrates good judgment
•Works with enthusiasm and conveys positive energy
•Knowledge of a broad range of life insurance and annuity products and operational related processes
•College Degree required
•Series 6, 63 and State Life/Health License required
•5+ years’ experience in the financial services industry, management experience preferred
$80,000 - $100,000 a year
base + sales incentive bonuses
