As a solution-oriented team, we strive to simplify processes and provide exceptional products and services. This role focuses on managing relationships with large partner offices, selling and implementing new business. You will need strong independent problem-solving and research skills, urgency in resolving transaction requirements, and effective communication coordination. Ownership of each new case is crucial to ensure all aspects are in good order before premiums are received. The team targets a premium of $1 Billion+ annually.

Our Executive Benefits Solutions Group offers life insurance products at the institutional level for the bank-owned and corporate owned life insurance markets.  Our products include universal life and variable universal life products. 

Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage the entire new business process for assigned relationships and incoming business, interacting with internal teams and key partner (TPA) Third Party Admin offices.
    • Correspond daily with wholesalers/TPA/broker offices on new business cases.
    • Ensure state variations are used and additional documents are included, such as 1035 Exchange paperwork.
    • Verify agent licensing and appointments, coordinating with Licensing team to set up new brokers.
    • Validate pricing for each case by working with the pricing actuary, ensuring paperwork aligns with assumptions.
    • Coordinate with Illustration team to finalize illustrations.
    • Review census against consents, face amounts, premiums, birthdays, social security numbers, fund selection, and smoker status, verifying amounts are within limits or obtaining necessary exceptions.
    • Process underwritten business by working with underwriting department and TPA/broker offices, ordering medical records, exams, and lab work for applicants.
    • Communicate with agencies for follow-up evidence, offers, and questions during underwriting review, monitoring expiration of evidence before issue.
    • Proactively resolve inquiries with quality, accuracy, and in a timely professional manner, closing files after cases have been funded.
    • Assemble policies for delivery, follow-up on requirements, and image files, ensuring delivery requirements are received timely.
    • Manage daily workload with emphasis on maintaining partner relationships and quality standards.

Skills, Abilities, Knowledge Required:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Ability to work well within a team and independently in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment.
    • Ability to meet the needs of a diverse customer group and handle challenging conversations.
    • Proficiency in mastering several different systems and repositories of information.

    • Ownership of individual and team workloads and service standards throughout the transaction process.
    • High level of attention to detail.

Qualifications:

    • 1+ years of experience in insurance, annuity, retirement, finance, or a Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
    • Minimum of 1 year experience working independently in a fast-paced environment focusing on critical high-value deliverables.
    • Strong team player with excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to handle challenging conversations and meet diverse customer needs.
    • Proficiency in using multiple systems and repositories seamlessly.
    • Adaptability to changing environments and maintaining productivity and quality standards.

Additional Information:

    • Expected daily schedule: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM CST.
    • Some overtime may be required during busy times.
    • Travel for annual meetings may be required.
$48,000 - $65,000 a year
Protective’s targeted salary range for this position is $48,000-$65,000 annually. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective’s total compensation package for employees.

This position also offers additional incentive opportunities through an annual incentive based on individual and Company performance.
