As a key member of the Sales team, the Presales Solution Engineer is responsible for maximizing sales opportunities by architecting and acting as the Technical Lead in presenting and implementing Protegrity solutions for potential net new customers.   A strong background with a mix of technical requirements gathering, RFI/RFP responses, software demonstrations, POCs and sales-related presentations to executives, business stakeholders and technical teams is critical.  You are required to have at least 5 years of experience in a wide range of technologies.  These include but are not limited to cloud providers, databases, data warehousing, big data, application environments, and an ability to read code.  See below for full qualifications. Responsibilities:

    •  Act as technical advisor/resource for sales and prospects as they navigate their way through the sales cycle.
    • Lead technical discovery, current state analysis and supporting sales qualification for customer prospects
    • Prepare for and perform product demonstrations to C-level management, Business stakeholders & Technical teams (e.g. developers, DBAs, IT Admin, IT security).
    • Host stakeholder whiteboarding sessions, technical workshops, and solution validation (e.g., custom presentations, demonstrations, POCs, etc.).
    • Responsible for responding to RFI / RFPs.
    • Design and deliver Proof-of-Concepts (POCs).
    • Technical sales lead on prospect, customer, partner, and internal meetings.
    • Match customer requirements with the best Protegrity’s solutions and deliver business-focused solution designs.
    • Architect, design, and solution using Protegrity’s products.
    • Responsible for documentation of proposed solutions, best practices, customer case studies, etc.
    • Document & update information in Salesforce and other applications.
    • Other duties as may be appropriate and applicable.

Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Solution Engineer / Sales Engineer (or similar job experience) handling enterprise B2B / SaaS software
    • Strong business acumen, with an understanding of using technology to solve business issues.
    • Strong technical aptitude, ability, and desire to learn quickly. Ability to demonstrate complex enterprise type software.
    • Knowledge, proficiency, and hands-on experience with a major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) Understanding of cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
    • Knowledge, proficiency, and hands-on experience with RDBMS systems: DB2, Oracle, MS-SQL, Big Data / Hadoop platforms, Data Warehousing, etc.
    • Previous experience in partnering with sales teams to maximize sales opportunities through solution selling, value selling and a consultative approach to Presales
    • Strong presentation skills with the ability to craft and deliver both business and technical presentations.
    • Experience creating and delivering thought leadership through customer case studies, whitepapers, blogs, webinars, etc.
    • Experience interacting with all levels of an organization, including members of the C-Suite
    • Strong Project Management, problem solving and analytical skills.
    • Well-developed interpersonal skills with an ability to get along with diverse personalities.
    • Willingness to Travel (approximately 25%
    • Industry expertise (Financial Services & Insurance, Healthcare, Energy, and/or Retail preferred)
    • Data security and privacy compliance (PCI-DSS, HIPAA, EC-Directive, etc.)
    • Experience with Regulatory environments (PCI, HIPAA, Cross Border, GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
    • Experience with Data Ingestion process and tools (SQL Programming and scripting skills a plus)
    • Experience with Data Analytics and AI / ML models (experience with BI tools a plus)
    • Experience with SPICED or similar sales methodologies used in enterprise sales CISSP, cloud, software, or other relevant industry certification(s)
    • Broad knowledge of data security and privacy technology, tools, and utilities.
    •  Bachelor’s degree Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent education and experience.

Working Model:

    • This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend on-site meetings only occasionally based on business needs. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
