Join our team as a Calibration Maintenance Technician!
Shift: Monday - Friday 8-4pm
To provide ongoing support of the Company’s production equipment needs. This includes complex maintenance, repair and installation projects related to production. Will also setup, calibrate and troubleshoot CNC machines.
What you will do
- Performs the full range of complex maintenance, installation, and repairs of all equipment required to accommodate the needs of the Manufacturing departments.
- Performs scheduled maintenance on machine tools including cleaning, lubrication, filter changing, belt replacement, adjustments, and basic repairs.
- Provides mentoring and technical guidance to less experienced maintenance technicians
- Evaluates machine failures and recommend the most effective repair methods.
- Maintains work orders in CMMS program.
- Conducts routine inspection and testing to ensure conformance to established calibration standards.
- Utilizes calibration software and diagnostic tools to identify faults or non-conformance and to track results.
- Maintains clean and organized work area with emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency, and utilization.
- Continually seeks to improve work processes and individual performance.
- Adhere to all quality and safety standards within the department.
- Adhere to all company policies and operational procedures.
- Install, adjust and maintain fixtures
- Assist in fixturing diagnosis and resolution; Interpret fixturing procedures; Check fixtures; Trouble shoot fixtures and calibration
- Recalibrate mills after maintenance was completed
- Perform machine/fixture calibration
- Assist in new mills set up and changes
- Assist launch of new processes and fixturing. (i.e. lathe milling)
- Perform approved exceptions to the milling process as needed. (i.e. Trunnion adjustments)
- Provide feedback regarding fixturing issues to management
- Assist with implementation companywide CMMS program (Pirana)
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What it takes
- Renishaw XL-80 Training Program Certificate – or willing to obtain
- 3+ years hands-on experience maintaining and repairing complex electrical and mechanical equipment
- 3+ years experience maintaining and repairing production equipment in a milling/machining production environment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
- General maintenance experience to include compressed air, mechanical and electrical
- High Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to effectively interact with people at all levels of the organization, including operations, engineering, and management, and to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Ability to mentor, coach and provide training to less experienced team members
- Ability to read and write in English, do basic arithmetic, and follow printed and computer-screen instructions
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to use computers for the creation and manipulation of files/data using Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work outside normal day time hours as needed. Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and work ethic
- Able to use chemicals in accordance with safety standards.
- Able to work safely with sharp & heavy objects (e.g., utility knives, aluminum blocks).
- Able to use measuring instruments such as scales, calipers, dial indicators.
- Physical job requirements: Stand for up to 12 hours. Lift up to 70 pounds waist high; carry up to 70 pounds alone. Reaching, bending, & grasping.
- Able to use a computer & calculator. Able to read & write in English & do basic arithmetic.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment.
- Must be punctual & have good attendance.
- Able to comprehend & follow printed & computer-screen instructions, & direction from supervisors or technical leads. Good written & oral communication skills. Strong attention to detail.
- Technical aptitude to be able to run calibration equipment
Bonus points for having
- Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years General maintenance experience
- Haas CNC maintenance experience

$26.15 - $39.23 an hour

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
