By joining our team as Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for planning, designing, setting up, modifying, optimising and monitoring specialist processes. Your focus will be on the CNC department.

What you'll do:

    • Design and procure jigs, tooling, and equipment for new product introductions.
    • Lead projects to integrate new products/processes into manufacturing.
    • Evaluate and source new equipment, ensuring quality at the best price.
    • Collaborate with R&D to stay at the forefront of industry innovations.
    • Monitor and improve manufacturing methods, focusing on yield and quality.
    • Solve operational issues creatively and participate in factory layout changes.
    • Act as the technical expert for troubleshooting and guidance.
    • Enhance work processes and support training efforts with updated instructions.
    • Work off-shift as needed to support new process implementations.
    • Maintain quality and safety standards, addressing issues promptly.
    • Report activities to the department manager and perform additional tasks as needed.

What it takes:

    • Excellent planning and organizational abilities
    • Advantageous: Knowledge of CNC machining, plastic injection moulding, or rapid prototyping
    • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software like SolidWorks, CamWorks, or MasterCam
    • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
    • Effective collaboration across company workgroups
    • Independent and self-motivated with strong attention to detail
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Proven mechanical aptitude and experience with measurement instruments
    • Experience with metalworking machinery (mills, lathes, drills, grinders)

    • Aptitudes:

    • Engineering degree or equivalent experience
    • Project management experience
    • Ability to meet deadlines and overcome obstacles
    • Previous experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment
    • Experience with Kaizen implementation
