The focus of the company is on building Infrastructure to drive end-to-end AI transformations, assisting businesses in adopting the right AI use cases, and scaling their AI initiatives organization-wide in such industries as Healthcare & Life Sciences, Retail & CPG, Media & Entertainment, Manufacturing, and Internet businesses.

The Practice Leader plays a key role in overseeing the company’s Application Development practice. This position involves managing teams, ensuring the successful delivery of projects, and driving technical excellence across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, enabling them to uphold and promote industry best practices while staying current with emerging technologies.

Requirements: 

    • Technical:
    • Strong understanding of Python patterns & best practices.
    • Experience in building and deploying scalable web applications.
    • Ability to explain every design choice one makes.
    • Ability to explain decisions, status, and roadmap to non-technical customer representatives.
    • Ability to create reusable components and libraries for application development.
    • Experience with building backend services and APIs using Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django).
    • Practical experience with AWS and other cloud platforms such as GCP or Azure.
    • Practical experience with post-production support & maintenance: monitoring, troubleshooting, automation, etc.
    • Experience in GenAI, ML, or Data products.
    • Practical experience with variety of data sources (OLTP, OLAP, DataLake, Streaming).

    • Management:
    • Experience in team/department leadership.
    • Relationship/team building. Leadership requires building and maintaining a solid and collaborative team of individuals working toward the same goal.
    • Ability to teach and mentor. The role assumes providing employees with their career path and helping them achieve goals.
    • Diplomatic skills. It means more than just "communication skills" and includes ethics, empathy, compassion, and the ability to resolve conflicts.
    • Calmness. Managing diverse personalities requires readiness for any objectives or misunderstandings.

Responsibilities:

    • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the strategic vision, ensuring alignment with business goals. Drive growth by identifying emerging trends and fostering innovation.
    • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the team, promote a collaborative culture, and manage performance through feedback and goal setting.
    • Practice Development: Evolve service offerings, collaborate with sales and marketing, and pursue business opportunities to expand the practice.
    • Project Delivery & Technical Excellence: Oversee the delivery of multiple projects—either directly or through the team—ensuring smooth execution and maintaining high standards of technical excellence.
    • Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and P&L, ensuring the Practice is within budget and resources are utilized effectively.
    • Staffing & Resource Management: Manage project staffing, collaborate with talent acquisition, and optimize resource utilization across projects.
    • Quality Assurance: Establish best practices, conduct project reviews, and drive continuous improvement in processes and capabilities.
    • Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate across practices, contribute to strategic company initiatives and foster a culture of internal knowledge sharing.
