About The Role

The Associate AE will have the responsibility of uncovering business needs for Mid-Market and Enterprise Accounts to build pipeline and relationships for the sales organization.  In this role, you’ll master the ability to capture prospective client’s attention and match our solution to their needs - all while working with some of the fastest growing brands on the planet!

This role is a key hire for Proxima which means this role comes with great opportunity and responsibility.  You will be the forefront of our brand, our sales funnel, and our boots on the ground.  We anticipate this person to quickly become successful which will enable the sales team to grow.  Growth naturally will open up opportunities for you, whether that means transitioning into management, partnerships, customer success, etc. If you like seeing the direct impact your work has on a business, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

    • Completing product demos with best in class ecommerce brands where your goal is for each brand to start their 30-day free Proxima trial
    • Capitalizing on Proxima’s existing demand.  50% of our Demos come via Inbound and another 25% of our Demos are already MQLs
    • Collaborate effectively with the sales, client services, and product teams to schedule demos, improve our value proposition and analyze our outbound process
    • Make strategic outbound calls & emails daily
    • Meet or exceed strategic goals and committed targets by engaging with qualified leads and enabling the next step in the sales cycle
    • Conduct consultative engagements and  qualify opportunities by understanding business challenges while also educating them on the value of our product
    • Complete detailed research within targeted accounts to identify key contacts and critical account information
    • Become an expert in sales prospecting platforms and tools
    • Develop superior customer service relationship with prospects
    • Proactively learn Proxima’s product, competitive products, and market knowledge
    • Successfully overcome product objections by effectively answering challenging questions

What We Need

    • Experience: You’re currently working at a startup as a Business Development Representative in SaaS, at a paid media agency, or in ad-tech and feel like you’re ready to grow your career as an AE. 
    • Energy, Creativity, Curiosity: Ability to work in a high energy, fast-paced sales environment.  You think out-of-the-box and wow people with your interesting angles and quality of work.  You thrive off of the constant ability to learn and grow.  
    • Tools: Experience working on the following platforms: Salesforce, Salesloft, Excel/Google Sheets, LinkedIn, and ZoomInfo
    • Bachelor’s Degree
$100,000 - $120,000 a year
The total compensation for this role represents the high and low range for this role. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, skills and experience. The base salary is just one component of Proxima’s compensation package which includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits, as well as equity.
