YOUR IMPACT
As an ECRH Systems Engineer specializing in transmission lines and launchers, you will be a key contributor to the design, development, and optimization of our ECRH delivery systems. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring efficient and precise microwave injection into the plasma, directly impacting the success of our fusion reactor.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- System Integration: execute seamless integration of ECRH components (gyrotrons, transmission lines, launchers, diagnostics) into the overall fusion device architecture.
- Technical Specifications: Write and manage technical specifications for the ECRH systems, including materials, quality assurance, and test protocols.
- Testing and commissioning of the ECRH system: Develop protocols for testing and commissioning gyrotron systems with a focus on operational reliability and efficiency.
- Supplier Collaboration: Manage relationships with external suppliers, design firms, and manufacturers to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of gyrotrons and microwave systems.
- Project Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of gyrotron and heating system projects, from initial technical specification development through to installation and commissioning.
WHO YOU ARE
- Experienced professional or holding a PhD.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, with a specialization in microwave engineering.
- Experienced in gyrotrons or high-power microwave systems used in magnetic confinement fusion (tokamaks or stellarators).
- Skilled in project management for complex systems, including supplier management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Knowledgeable about the design principles of gyrotrons and microwave systems, enabling effective communication with external designers and manufacturers.
- Excited to lead procurement, integration, and testing of high-power systems in a fast-paced, innovative environment focused on achieving net-energy fusion.
