Job Summary
We are looking for a Fire Sprinkler Test & Inspection Technician to join our team!
As a Fire Sprinkler Test & Inspection Technician, you will be responsible for performing the inspection and testing, of fire sprinkler systems, hood suppression systems, and backflows for compliance with applicable life-safety and fire-safety requirements as mandated by standards and codes, manufacturers’ requirements, federal, state, and local ordinances, customer requirements, and the expectations and requirements of the company.
In this role you will:
Perform inspection and testing of all types of fire sprinkler systems as well as hood suppression systems-Perform inspection and testing of backflow prevention devices as required by USC 10 and state and local codes, separate certification requirements may be necessary based upon the jurisdiction-Assist/coordinate with all forms of life safety system testing
Document all testing findings in accordance with NFPA and local requirements
Maintain a good positive relationship with the customer and pass on information to the appropriate personnel for follow-up, quotes, questions, or concerns-Discuss deficiencies noted with a customer, explaining the problem and its resolution.
Requirements:
At least 1 years’ experience in fire sprinkler systems
High School diploma or equivalent
NICET II (Water based systems)
Oregon Backflow Assembly Tester Certification (Oregon State Certification), preferred
Certificate of Fitness (COF), (Portland Certification) for Fire Sprinkler/ Underground/ Fire Extinguisher/ Fire Suppression
Knowledge and ability to understand and operate basic computer functions such as Windows, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Apple IOS, and Android
Valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Working Conditions:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted
Frequently lift and carry toolboxes, tools, equipment, parts, cabling, and/or wiring
Must be able to push or pull up to 50 pounds
