Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to oversee sourcing, purchasing, and vendor management across our operational needs. This role is essential in ensuring timely, cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment, and services while maintaining compliance with internal policies and quality standards. The ideal candidate brings a strategic approach to procurement, strong supplier relationship skills, and the ability to align procurement activities with project and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Purchasing
Source and purchase a variety of materials, equipment, and contracted services. Ensure procurement activities are aligned with timelines, budgets, and organizational requirements.

Vendor Relationship Management
Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier and contractor relationships. Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and service levels to secure the best value and performance.

Inventory Collaboration
Work closely with inventory and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels and align procurement schedules with operational demands.

Cost Optimization
Monitor and control procurement spend, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement purchasing strategies that support financial objectives.

Procurement Operations
Create, track, and manage purchase orders through ERP or procurement systems. Ensure compliance with internal controls and maintain accurate documentation.

Project Coordination
Collaborate with project managers to forecast material needs and support the successful execution of project timelines through efficient procurement planning.

Reporting & Insights
Prepare regular reports on procurement activity, vendor performance, and budget adherence. Provide insights to drive continuous improvement in sourcing and supply chain processes.

Qualifications

Experience
2–5 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably within construction, manufacturing, MEP, or related operational environments.

Technical Skills
Proficiency with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or QuickBooks
Strong command of Microsoft Excel and the full Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with sourcing procedures, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation
Soft Skills
Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Detail-oriented and committed to process efficiency and compliance
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 per hour
