PURVIS is looking for a tech-minded PSAC Service Technician to be responsible for providing PC workstation and IT support, as well as troubleshooting and identifying solutions. The Service Technician positions involves all aspects of computer systems configuration, set up and maintenance.  This involves new hardware and software, as well as existing systems.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:

    • Respond to service requests.  Provide assistance for technical problems, which involves communications via email, service ticket or telephone. 
    • Troubleshoot and rectify computer and/or network problems.
    • This role requires heavy lifting of equipment on occasion, commensurate with job requirements.
    • This position will work alone or with other members of the service team.
    • Will handle multiple priorities simultaneously, as required.

Qualifications

    • Associates degree preferred or technical Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
    • Minimum of 2+ years of work-related experience in the field of IT Support is preferred.
    • Candidates with a technical school or apprenticeship program in related field of electrical or electronic support.  Must have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of work experience. 
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server 2016 through 2019. 
    • Demonstrates knowledge of and experience in configuring desktop and laptop computers with Windows 7 through Windows 11.
    • Working knowledge of standard network protocols and troubleshooting. 
    • Good problem-solving, analytical, and team-working skills.  An openness to learning new technologies.
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

$55,000 - $65,000 a year
Salary is commensurate with experience
This role is on-site at customer location and will primarily support 2nd and 3rd shifts.  Candidate must be flexible to support other shifts, as needed with ample notice.
