We have an immediate opening for a Naval Logistician to join a fast-paced and exiting work environment. This position is full-time (Monday through Friday) and is on-site at our client location located in Newport, RI.
The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include:
- Supports the Imaging Periscope Fleet Support for the Navy Submarine Periscope Hotline desk and CASREP tasking.
- Provides daily technical support to the Navy Submarine Periscope Hotline, handling fleet inquiries and CASREP tasking related to Imaging Periscope systems.
- Monitors and triages all incoming hotline communications (phone/email), perform ILS (Integrated Logistics Support) research, and coordinate responses with subject matter experts.
- Maintains and updates the Imaging Hotline tracking log, ensuring accurate documentation of open actions and submitting required open/closed action reports.
- Reviews and processes all Imaging Periscope CASREPs by analyzing fleet messages, conducting preliminary ILS assessments, and assigning cases to SMEs for resolution. Tracks the status of all open CASREPs and submits required status reports.
- Participates in daily production meetings, contributing updates and technical input to support team coordination and project planning.
- Prepares and submits Imaging Periscope Hotline and CASREP reports in compliance with contract guidelines.
- Interfaces with government technical project managers to ensure support aligns with performance objectives and contractual standards.
- Adapt writing style to suit various technical documentation needs and ensure compliance with both local and higher-echelon policies, format standards, and style guides.
Qualifications:
- High School degree or GED equivalent.
- Associates degree or training that is directly relevant to this particular type of work is a plus.
- 7 years of professional experience in Integrated Logistics Support.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Submarine Imaging systems is preferred
- Prior logistics and or Imaging antenna related experience supporting Undersea Warfare Systems engineering or equivalent is highly desired.
- Ability to read and understand Navy drawings and Integrated Electronic Technical Manuals.
- Experience with Haystack, One-Touch, NRP/ERP, SAM and MILSTRIP/MILSTRAP procedures is a plus.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures, meet deadlines, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Intermediate skills proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
- Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, to all levels of the customer organization.
Candidate must be able to obtain a government security clearance to the level of SECRET.
