Responsibilities

    • You will serve as chief technical advisor to the PM, DPM, and others
    • You will coordinate and chair meetings of various working groups and lead infusion of technologies into performance of TOs
    • You will Lead activities and reporting
    • Leverage teammates for their “best and brightest” in or outside of the contract to bring continuous improvement and innovation to the contract
    • Recommend new technologies and oversees new technology infusion
    • Work closely with assistant chief technologists and chief technologist on proposed new technologies

Required Qualifications

    • MS and 10+ years’ experience, or BS and 20+ years’ experience. Degree must be in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM), from a regionally accredited institution
    • Professional engineering certification and/or similar (Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act Level 3 Systems Engineering Certification)
    • Member of professional engineering and/or aerospace societies
    • Demonstration of continued education
    • 10+ years systems engineering experience related to Department of Defense & major space systems/programs
    • Prior military or civil service experience supporting the space and/or intelligence community
    • Experience developing and maintaining an integrated baseline to capture the architecture, performance, utility, and costs associated with programs (operational, in development, and future)
    • Experience analyzing system level and system-of-systems level requirements, needs, and capabilities
    • Experience exploring opportunities for integration as well as for migrating into new and emerging technologies and concepts from multiple organizations within the community
    • Experience identifying integration opportunities across the community including the integration of space with non-space (terrestrial, maritime, and air) capabilities

Required Knowledge

    • Experience leading and/or managing, or providing technical oversight of engineering activities in a functional specialty relating to the design, development, fabrication, installation, modification, sustainment, and/or analysis of systems or systems components
    • Experience ensuring appropriate systems engineering technical and technical management processes are properly applied to functional specialty activities that support IPT environments
    • 10+ years systems engineering experience related to Department of Defense & major space systems/programs

Required Skills

    • Experience directing several supervisors or team leaders
    • Experience providing subject matter expert support for engineering reviews
    • Experience collaborating with external systems engineering organizations
    • Experience identifying, supporting, and directing a broad range of technical efforts requiring highly specialized and diverse personnel
    • Experience briefing senior officers

Yes, current Top Secret/SCI clearance or adjudication within the last 2 years. Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation, a background check, a drug screen, and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
