The gig
The Sales Operations Manager at Q4 is responsible for leading the department and ensuring the team is  making progress towards strategic initiatives as well as maintaining our service delivery in: Strategic Sales Planning & Performance, Deal Desk, Compensation Plans, Daily Operations, Data & Insights. You will be integral in enhancing the reporting function & owning key Sales Operations initiatives.  This includes defining & managing a reporting cadence to ensure insights are provided to Stakeholders in the revenue organization as well as our Global Business Units. You will also lead & support key Sales Operations initiatives. You will work closely with Sales and Client Success Leadership as well as a variety of different stakeholders across Marketing, Product, Service Delivery, Business Systems and Finance.

Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain the functional areas of CRM (Salesforce) data management including Accounts, Opportunities, Quotes, Dashboards & Reports. 
    • Work with cross-functional teams, and support Salesforce across all Lines of Businesses, to drive Salesforce changes to workflows, objects and fields, business rules, and business process flows to enhance the business while implementing best practices on the application.
    • Plan and drive technical and business readiness for Salesforce implementations, ensuring that Q4 is prepared for all new system releases and process changes.
    • Deliver effective communication, training and support to facilitate strong adoption and ongoing Salesforce user acceptance. 
    • Develop and maintain Salesforce data quality rules and thresholds for critical data elements, and implement and ensure compliance to Salesforce standards and operating processes. 
    • Partner with Business Systems on continuous improvement to Implement and automate key business processes that move the business forward (e.g. validation rules, email alerts, etc.).   
    • Develop and socialize reports, dashboards, and processes to continuously monitor data quality, governance and integrity. 
    • Provide analysis of all insights and measurement initiatives. Draw business inferences, and clearly articulate findings to support strategic decision making. 
    • Driving a monthly pipeline review to ensure adequate quota coverage and pipeline created.
    • Manage Weekly operational forecast, pipeline management and inspection process.
    • Deploy Quota / Target allocation & assignments.
    • Operationalize the Regional plan and design by establishing the customer segmentation model, coverage model, role design & territory design.
    • Provide thoughtful, actionable and analytical studies to the Sales Leaders (vs descriptive reporting only).
    • Oversee the global Deal Desk with an emphasis on quick resolution and removing barriers for Users to close Deals.
    • Continuously enhance the quote-to-order process to streamline deal and order processing 
    • Provide prompt and complete resolution to technical challenges and business issues by triaging support requests & administrative needs of users. 
    • Responsible for collaborating with Leaders to define People strategy including organizational structure, talent acquisition, training & development, goal setting, coaching & feedback and performance management. 
    • Responsible for providing daily guidance to direct reports & manage how work is prioritized
    • Manage key initiatives relevant to new customer acquisition, sales productivity and the coordination between Sales and Marketing Operations.
    • Oversee, operationalize and execute on Global Commission Plans.

Requirements

    • 3+ years experience leading Sales Operations, people management, strategic planning, ad-hoc data extractions, data integrations, and maintaining data hygiene.
    • Minimum 3 years experience working with Salesforce, preferably in a Power User capacity.
    • Excellent business acumen and communication skills with compelling presence to an audience
    • Self-starter attitude with a high degree of motivation
    • Exceptional at solving complex problems, seeks areas of improvement, develops solutions, ideator and process improvement
    • Experience or exposure to Compensation Plan operations and/or design is preferred.
    • Proficient in working with  Excel/Google Sheets (complex models/data analysis).
    • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Python/R, and/or SQL (or similar analytical packages) a plus.
