The Gig
The Investor Relations Manager (IRM) is responsible for executing the unique tactical program created for the client by the IRSP Director and Centres of Excellence (CoE) as well as on ad-hoc projects requested by high value clients. The IRM is responsible for constructing materials, gathering data, creating slides, and leveraging tools to produce projects for clients.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills, ability to hit deadlines, accuracy of analysis, and attention to detail is of utmost importance. Their primary focus is on the tactical execution of the customer's IR strategy delivered through standard templates, Q4 Desktop, CoE materials, 3rd party tools, and IRP advisory services.
We are looking for someone that prides themselves on strong attention to detail, timeliness, and collaboration, and who is proactive, task focused, organized and has excellent problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- The IRM works in lockstep with clients and our Investor Relations Success Platform (IRSP) Director in executing the tactical components of the client’s IR program including; assessing customer requests, configuring products, data gathering and analysis, crafting presentations, and constructing best practice guides, etc.
- Develops a deep understanding of customer needs, expectations and what is required to deliver on them
- Responsible for key deliverables and ensuring high satisfaction that creates Q4 evangelists
- Works seamlessly with squad members (IR Partner, Market Intelligence Analysts, and Customer Success Managers) and shared services to deliver on service excellence
- Ensure all client requests are dealt with directly or routed appropriately within a timely and effective manner
- Provide onboarding/training for the Q4 platform and service model
- Provides support to the client through their quarterly earnings cycles
- Acquire and maintain strong working knowledge of the Investor Relations industry and keep apprised of its regulations, trends and best practices
- Monitor industry trends, news, policy and regulatory changes and other relevant information; share with squad and IRP on regular basis
- Periodically provide proactive deliverables and information to clients based on knowledge of the client, markets, intelligence from cross-functional teams and insights garnered during client interactions
- Support IRSP Director in delivering intelligence reports and insights. Assist in the creation of presentations and other communication materials, i.e. fact sheet, business segment report, for investors.
- Continual learning and development with the goal of becoming an expert in IR, Capital Markets and Q4 product and services
- Identify opportunities for cross-sell, upsell
Requirements
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience in investor relations, finance, or capital markets either within an agency or client side is required
- Working knowledge of capital markets platforms such as FactSet and Capital IQ considered an asset
- University or college degree
- Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Superior client engagement skills, demonstrated success in building and maintaining effective customer relationships, particularly with those in decision-making roles.
- Ability to perform in a high-pressure environment, and be able to meet tight deadlines
- Has superb written and verbal communication skills Outstanding communication and listening skills.
- Proactive, provides creative insights and/or solutions to address client
- Demonstrated ability to develop and build relationships
- Consistently operate with high integrity
