Position Overview

The Partner Development Manager / Director will expand HQCA’s residential segment to grow our new solution business in California/Texas. This position will be responsible for developing channel partners for residential energy storage system, new solution business (Grid Service, Third Party Ownership (TPO), Environmental value). This position reports to the Head of Business Development (Residential), or another member of senior management that the President of the Company may designate. This position may require flexibility to support travel for multiple projects in various geographical regions up to 20% of the year.


    • Sales volume and profit of energy storage system and new solution services
    • Develop new sales channel partners who makes the sales contract with homeowners  (PV Installers, New home builders, Roofers, HVAC installers, Electricians)
    • Execute the contractual relationship with the new channel partners for energy storage sales, new solution services.
    • Train channel partners to propose energy storage system and/or new solutions and execute the contract with homeowners
    • Support channel partners to build the capability of system designing, fulfillment, installation, operation by collaborating with internal teams (Engineering, Operations)
    • Grow channel partners with sales of our products and solution services in both volume and margin
    • Oversee channel partners’ sales, contracts and operation process regularly and provide advice for improvement
    • Review and provide detailed forecasts of contract and delivery
    • Collaborate and partner with Sales Team, Marketing, Engineering, Digital Planning, Products & Service Management
    • Meet deadlines and align HQCA's goals and vision;

Required Qualifications

    • 5+ / 8+ years of experience in B2B sales channel development with a track record of success in the residential solar industry.
    • Ability to drive results at a strategic level through KPIs.
    • Excellent skills in communication, negotiation, complex analytic problem solving, process management
    • Comfortable and accustomed to working with various different type of business.
    • Understanding of core financial metrics and sales volume measurements.
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain high attention-to-detail and accuracy forecasting monthly, quarterly, and annual sales for the business.
    • Demonstrated record delivery that includes double-digit growth in a fast-paced and dynamic industry.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in B2C sales or residential solar and energy storage
    • Experience in residential solar TPO business
    • Experience in new homebuilder industry
