The Senior Accountant will be responsible for performing day-to-day accounting operations, assisting senior leadership with our financial strategy, and aligning the policies and procedures of Q CELLS’ System Business Division in San Francisco including GELI, the renowned renewable energy software company Q CELLS acquired.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform the daily operations of the accounting department including preparation of journal entries, payroll entries, and account reconciliation
- Perform monthly closing duties assigned by Controller, which includes maintaining accrual and capital asset schedules
- Perform a weekly bank reconciliation
- Responsible for reclassing all expenses to a correct cost center on a daily basis
- Responsible for a monthly benefit reconciliation, a semi-monthly 401k benefit liabilities reconciliation and a quarterly Form 941 reconciliation
- Responsible for monitoring and collecting supporting documents for all bank and credit card transactions
- Prepare a weekly wire/ACH transfer support package for Controller’s review
- Review annual 1099 slips prepared by Staff Accountant
- Provide general administrative support including procurement support services
- Provide high quality administrative support to Executive Leadership Team as an Executive Assistant
- Provide back-up support for the Staff Accountant position
- Assist Controller with insurance audit packages
- Assist Controller with all insurance renewal
- Assist Controller with Sales and Use tax return, Property tax return, Excise tax return for multiple states
- Assist Controller with all statutory filing requirements
- Assist Controller with a quarterly and yearly audit PBC preparation
- Assist Controller with a quarterly and yearly tax PBC preparation
- Perform other duties assigned by Chief Financial Officer, and Controller
REQUIRED & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bi-lingual Korean/English preferred
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting required
- Minimum 5 years of professional accounting experience required
- Strong understanding of month end and year end processes required
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting preferred
