At Qonto, Data Analytics is essential and central to our business. You will join a team of talented data analysts, that provides key insights used to make strategic decisions across the company.
The BI Team is organized into three teams working in distinct areas, that regularly work together on cross-functional topics.
As a Growth Data Analyst, You will work closely with the growth department, supporting them by monitoring performance, building monitoring tools, and providing self-service analytics for understanding client acquisition metrics. Your insights will directly influence strategies to drive Qonto's expansion and success in the European market.


👩‍💻🧑‍💻As a Data Analyst at Qonto, you will :

- Monitor performance and build robust monitoring tools to track key growth metrics
- Conduct in-depth analyses of abnormalities in performance, both positive and negative, to uncover actionable insights
- Perform ad hoc analyses to understand why certain issues occur and provide data-driven recommendations
- Develop and maintain self-service analytics tools for the growth team to understand client acquisition metrics
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the growth department, acting as a true business partner to provide insights and challenge strategies
- Advocate for the team’s work to meet internal standards for code style, quality, maintainability, and best practices.

🚧 The Growth Data Analyst main mission:

- Our Data Analyst Growth are here to empower Qonto's growth team with data-driven insights and help them acquire more high-value clients, particularly focusing on moving from freelancers and smaller companies to bigger companies.

🤔 What you can expect

- Market/Team Context: You'll join a diverse and experienced growth team of five people, geographically distributed across Spain, Paris, and Germany. The team has a mix of experience levels, including a staff member, one level three, and three-level two employees.
- Methodologies: We value autonomy, quick learning, and strong relationship building with partners and stakeholders. You'll need to adapt your communication style to different stakeholders' preferences.
- Challenges: You'll work with data that is not always well-modeled or readily available, requiring creative problem-solving and the ability to work with raw data. You'll also need to prove value to stakeholders who may have had mixed experiences with BI in the past.
- Tools: Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau is essential, as you'll be building dashboards autonomously.

You will work closely with Omar, our Lead Data Analysts.

His background:

With his Data Science Engineering degree Omar was the first lead data analyst at Qonto and grew the team from 4 to 25 talented individuals. He partnered with the Product, Growth, Strategy, Finance, and People departments over the past 4 years. Before joining Qonto, Omar always worked in the Data field in different data-heavy industries such as the airline industry focusing on Revenue Management and the ad tech industry specifically on Sales Performance optimization.

🏅About You

- Experience: You have a strong background in growth analytics, particularly in areas like onboarding or website analytics. Experience in fintech or B2B is preferred.
- Mastery: You excel at root cause analysis, impact measurement, and providing actionable recommendations based on data insights.
- You have a strong Business Sense, you can challenge and define the business Value of a project and have the ability to leverage it to inform analysis and recommendations.
- Strong relationship-building skills with partners and stakeholders
- You’ve got a strong experience in building interactive dashboards and selecting the right type of visualization to convey the message behind the data. You understand user interface and user experience principles to create dashboards that are easy to use, accessible to various stakeholders, and most importantly, actionable
- You’re not afraid of learning new tools if they serve your goal. You probably already know Python, SQL, and Tableau (or a similar dashboarding tool) and look forward to adding new skills to your belt.
- A statistical background is a plus: you differentiate an anomaly in data from statistical noise.
- Other traits and skills we are looking for include accountability, energy, a hands-on mindset (when needed), and framing problems/situations sharply.
