β Mission:
β’ Join Qonto as our Operational Risk Manager to lead and scale our risk management practices across 4 European markets. You'll be responsible for identifying all operational risks at Qonto, and defining processes and actions to mitigate these risks and ensure business resilience.
β’ Reporting directly to Arnaud, our Risk Director, you'll play a crucial role in shaping Qonto's risk landscape as we continue our rapid growth trajectory.
π©βπ»π§βπ» As an Operational Risk Manager at Qonto, you will
β’ Identify & analyze operational risks by reviewing and keeping the risk map up to date
β’ Implement and manage key projects such as DORA compliance, incident management framework, and partner quality monitoring
β’ Implement a risk monitoring & reporting framework, ensuring all risk indicators are always up to date
β’ Act as an advisor and reviewer for all new product features to ensure proper risk identification and safeguard design
β’ Lead risk-reduction projects, including business continuity plans
β’ Develop and execute business continuity plans for various market activities
β’ Craft, refine, and maintain clear, concise risk policies aligned with regulatory requirements and business needs
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed risk management practices across the organization

β’ Tools we use: State-of-the-art risk management and analysis tools, Excel for financial modeling, and potentially SQL and Python

β’ Arnaud leads the Risk department at Qonto. With a background in financial risk management, he brings a wealth of experience to the team. Arnaud values independence and self-drive, providing support through regular meetings and being available to unblock issues. He fosters an environment where team members can grow their expertise and take ownership of their responsibilities.

About You
β’ Education: You have a diploma with a specialization in Banking, Insurance, or Risk Management
β’ Experience: You have at least 4 years of experience in operational risk management or internal control within financial, payment, or banking institutions
β’ Languages: You are fluent in English; French would be a plus
β’ Expertise: You're well-versed in incident management, fraud detection, and process management ; and you're familiar with financial regulations, particularly the upcoming Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA)
β’ Analytical Skills: You have strong analytical skills, a critical mind, and can present findings to any audience
β’ Communication: You excel at stakeholder management and can explain complex risk concepts clearly both internally with LoD1 managers and externally with auditors and supervisors
β’ Autonomy: You're a self-starter who can drive projects autonomously with minimal supervision
β’ Adaptability: You're comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where deliverables and priorities rapidly evolve
