- As the Director of Compensation & Benefits at Qonto, you will transform our global rewards strategy into a competitive advantage that attracts and retains top talent while scaling our frameworks to support rapid growth. Reporting to Sarah (Chief People Officer), you will lead a team of 2 (to start with) to harmonize our compensation and benefits approaches across 8 European markets, equipping leadership with data-driven insights for strategic decision-making as we evolve from a payment institution to a bank.
- Develop, implement, and communicate our global reward strategy that balances internal equity, market competitiveness, and compliance requirements across our 8 European markets (FR, DE, IT, ES, BE, NL, AUT, PT)
- Build our Pay Transparency program with data infrastructure, employee education, and clear documentation to meet 2026 EU compliance requirements
- Build data-driven compensation systems and insights, including salary grids, job grading, or market benchmarking, to support strategic decision-making and talent retention
- Lead compensation cycles in partnership with Finance, managing salary and bonus reviews, ensuring fairness and strategic alignment
- Drive systems transformation and team leadership by implementing Workday for C&B processes and managing a growing Total Rewards team while establishing clear communication strategies for all reward programs
- Banking/regulated industry experience: Built and implemented compensation frameworks in financial services companies with governance and compliance/regulatory expertise
- Multi-country: Designed job architecture and pay bands across EU markets with country-specific regulatory requirements
- Executive influence: Track record of educating and influencing C-level leaders on compensation strategy while steering and communicating change
- Transformation at scale: Led company-wide compensation & benefits transformations in fast-growing financial institutions or similar regulated industries
- Data-driven approach: Built analytics-first compensation functions with systematic decision-making and stakeholder management across regulatory bodies and internal executives
