As the Legal Intern - Corporate and M&A (date of the internship: January to July 2025), you will have a global overview from a legal standpoint of all aspects of Qonto’s business, in particular related to corporate issues, M&A, and tax.

You will join the Legal Team, under the supervision of the Legal Lead - Corporate, M&A and Tax, Maya. You will also work closely with the Corporate team (finance, people, risk, regulatory, compliance, internal control, and strategic projects), the Tech (software and data), and Product & Marketing Teams.


👩‍💻🧑‍💻 As a Legal Intern - Corporate and M&A at Qonto, you will

Assist in the preparation and coordination of the meetings of the Supervisory Board and the Shareholders meetings (i.e. convene notices, attendance sheets, management reports, minutes, coordination with the auditors and legal formalities)
Assist in Qonto’s day-to-day corporate management: Handling the update of the share transfer registers/ shareholders' individual accounts and capitalization table
Assist with the employee equity schemes (BSPCE): Drafting of the legal and contractual documentation and monitoring of periodic allocations;
Assist in all M&A activities, from the audit phase to the drafting/revision of major agreements (such as investment agreements, shareholders' agreements, refinancing agreements);
Work closely with many teams across Qonto, especially finance and human resources;
Create and improve internal processes related to Qonto's legal topics, and more generally assist in the daily activities of Qonto’s legal team.

🤝 About your future manager

Her path?
Before Qonto, Maya spent several years working for international and French law firms based in Paris, and mostly specialised in Corporate, M&A and Private Equity matters. She grew up in France from a multicultural background and studied French and Common law at Nanterre Université (Paris) and Duke University (Durham, USA).
Now, Maya is focusing on leading strategic Legal projects at Qonto, the latest being the recent Penta acquisition.

🏅About You

Experience: You have prior experience as an intern or apprentice with a top-tier law firm or bank/fintech and you have a strong interest in Corporate and M&A issues
Academic Background: You are a Master's student in Corporate/Business law
Communication: You have strong oral and written communication skills and a good sense of diplomacy
Analytical mind & rigorous: You have well-honed organizational and analytical skills
Curious mindset: You are an intellectually open-minded, adaptable, fast learner, and are excited by a dynamic startup environment
Languages: You are fluent in both French and English. Spanish, German or Italian is a definite plus
