As the Legal Intern - Product & Commercial - you will have a global overview from a legal standpoint of all aspects of Qonto’s business which are linked to the products & commercial projects we work on.
⚠️ This internship will start in January 2025 and end in late June 2025.
👩💻🧑💻As a Legal Intern Product & Commerical at Qonto, you will
• Contract Negotiation & Drafting: Assist in negotiating and drafting contracts for new Qonto products, strategic partnerships, and other commercial matters.
• Legal Advisory: Provide legal advice on Qonto's operations, including IP, digital and AI-related matters.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure legal compliance while supporting business objectives (especially Regulatory, Product, Strategy, and Growth).
• Fintech Legal Research: Research and analyze complex legal issues in the Fintech industry.
• Proactive Legal Management: Contribute to the team's proactive approach in addressing legal priorities efficiently.

🤝 About your future manager
• Their path:
Before Qonto, Luke spent eight years working for international law firms, mostly based in London but also New York and Paris. He worked in a variety of fields but mostly specialized in banking, finance, and private equity transactions.
Now focusing on Fintech, Luke handles all legal matters concerning Qonto’s business banking products, as well as strategic & growth partnerships, IP and GenAI strategy. In previous roles, he advised on fundraising, stock options, and investor relations.
• What he can bring to you:
Business-minded and strategy-oriented, Luke brings an open-minded and curious approach as a team lead. He encourages confidence and autonomy in his team members, creating an environment where they can take true ownership of their projects and develop their skills while helping Qonto achieve its goals.
🏅About You
• Experience: You have prior experience as an intern or apprentice in a law firm or bank/fintech and you have a strong interest in fintech product issues. Experience in another fintech or tech company is a big plus.
• Education: You have a Master 2 Degree in French Business law and/or you have passed the bar exam and are looking for your PPI internship.
• Skills: Strong contract negotiation and drafting abilities.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with banking, payments, and data protection regulations.
• Attributes: Proactive, curious, and business-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
• Mastery: You will need to master legal issues related to digital platforms, banking law, and business finance tools during your internship. You can justify your conclusions to stakeholders and are constantly searching for improvement.
• Languages: You are fluent in both French and English. Mastery of another European language is a definite plus.
