About the Role:
Quad Lock is looking for their next Manufacturing Engineer who will assist in overseeing the manufacturing inputs for Quad Lock’s production processes and products. You'll ensure high-quality standards and efficient operations, playing a crucial part in maintaining the excellence and reliability of our products from start to finish.
What You'll be Doing:
- Assist in the establishment of business systems (that align with ISO 9001-2015)
- Take the lead in root cause analysis activities both internally and with suppliers
- Interpret data from CX team to develop and maintain product failure rates, using this information to evaluate product designs and implement design/process improvements
- Actively participate in DFMEA and PFMEA processes
- Assist in the preparation of drawings from CAD models
- Assist in the establishment of tolerances for products and lead tolerance stack up analysis
- Manage PPAP for all manufactured components
- Manage ECR process internally and externally
- Mentor the Manufacturing Team in our Shenzhen office
- Mentor Junior Engineers in the Melbourne Office
- Stand in for the Manufacturing Manager where required
- Ability to travel both locally and internationally if required
What You'll Bring to the Role:
- Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in the Plastic Injection Moulding Industry (Tier 1 automotive supplier experience, highly regarded)
- B Eng - Mechanical or Manufacturing
- Will consider a trade background with extensive experience working as a Quality or Manufacturing Engineer
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office products
- Experience with ISO 9001-2015, with preferred internal auditing experience
- Proficient in Solidworks and FEA methodologies
- Can-Do attitude
