Job Title: Industrial Electrician (Journeyman Level)
Location: Norfolk, VA
Pay Rate: $34/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Through October–December, with potential for future projects
Orientation: 6-hour safety orientation on the first day

Job Description:
We are currently seeking experienced Industrial Electricians for a ground-up construction project at a high-profile control center in Norfolk, VA. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled tradespeople looking for consistent work through the end of the year, with the possibility of ongoing projects to follow.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduit work: bending and installing rigid conduit & EMT
    • Electrical terminations and voltage knowledge
    • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
    • Maintain high safety standards at all times
    • Work under the supervision of an experienced Electrical Project Manager

Requirements:

    • Journeyman-level experience in industrial electrical work
    • Strong knowledge of conduit work and electrical systems
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Must be safety-conscious and self-motivated
    • Pass background check and drug screening

Basic Tool Requirements (All Levels):

    • Tool pouch or bag
    • Set of screwdrivers (various sizes)
    • Side cutters, diagonal cutters, needle-nose pliers
    • Channel locks, adjustable wrenches
    • Measuring tape, torpedo level, utility knife
    • Voltage meter (600V), hammer, flashlight
    • Rain gear

Additional Tools for 2nd Year Apprentices and Above:

    • Magnetic protractor, electrician’s level
    • NEC Code Book (2008 or newer)
    • Socket sets (3/8" & 1/2" drive), combination wrenches
    • Nut driver set, wire strippers, Uni-bit, and more
