Position: Mechanic
Locations: Richmond, VA, or Chesterfield, VA
Duration: Full Time – Direct Hire

Shifts:
Richmond: 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Mon - Fri)
Chesterfield:
- Shift A: 6:00 am - 4:30pm, Mon-Thu
- Shift B: 6:00 am - 4:30pm Tue - Fri
- 2nd Shift: 12:30pm - 11pm Mon - Thu with a $3/hour shift differential

Pay Rate: $24.00 - $35.00/hr. (Depending on experience)

Responsibilities:

    • Perform mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on company vehicles and equipment.
    • Repair and maintain heavy equipment, trucks, and other motorized equipment.
    • Receive daily briefing from Shop Foreman and complete work assignments accordingly.
    • Minimize downtime by efficiently managing waiting periods for parts and tools.
    • Ensure timely and accurate completion of work orders, recording relevant details.
    • Route requests for emergency repairs to Shop Foreman for prioritization.
    • Adhere to safety regulations and maintain orderly condition of tools and equipment.
    • Participate in team-based assignments to ensure timely repairs and maintenance.

Required Travel:

    • Occasional travel required for work-related purposes such as training, seminars, and meetings.

Required Skills and Experience:

    • Minimum five years of maintenance experience with heavy equipment or track/trailers/cranes.
    • Minimum five years of experience in at least two other technical areas (e.g., hydraulics, electronics).
    • High School Diploma/GED and trade school or equivalent training in diesel mechanical repair.
    • Drive for achieving results, ability to work under pressure, strong communication and organization skills.
    • Proficient computer skills and ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Physical Demands:

    • Various physical activities including bending, lifting, and working in different weather conditions.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and seek assistance for heavier items

Required Certifications and Licenses:

    • Valid Driver’s License with good driving record.
    • Professional certifications related to maintenance and repair of heavy equipment.
    • Other certifications as necessary for assigned responsibilities.
