Position: Installation Technician (Mechanical)
Location: Richmond and Chesterfield, VA area
Duration: Full-time, Permanent
Shift: 1st Shift Schedule with minimal travel required, 4 days/week (5%)
Qualdoc is on the lookout for a top-notch contractor that offers a full spectrum of services, including specialty lifting, rapid emergency response, meticulous track maintenance, precise load adjustment, and innovative manufacturing of tailored equipment for the dynamic industry.
Essential Functions:
- Command the installation of state-of-the-art fluid power systems, electrical control systems, heavy lift systems, and groundbreaking rail drive systems.
- Launch into action every day after receiving comprehensive briefings from our seasoned Shop Foreman.
- Collaborate closely with our passionate manufacturing/production team and ingenious engineering group to craft unparalleled products of the highest quality.
- Be the hero who minimizes downtime by deftly managing the availability of parts and tools.
- Execute tasks with precision and speed, adhering to exacting build standards, while meticulously documenting every step.
- Be the first responder by swiftly directing emergency repair requests to the Shop Foreman, ensuring no priority assignment goes unattended.
- Safeguard our team by championing unwavering compliance with safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain our arsenal of tools and equipment in a pristine and orderly fashion, ready for action at a moment's notice.

Skills and Experience Required:
- Demonstrated maintenance experience with heavy equipment and/or track/trailers/cranes, etc., for a minimum of five years.
- Minimum of five years' experience in at least two other technical areas, such as hydraulics, electronics, small engines, air-conditioning, and other related mechanical domains.
- Education should include a High School Diploma/GED AND completion of trade school/or dealership/factory service training in diesel mechanical repair/maintenance equivalent to an associate's degree.
- Possess a relentless drive to achieve results and the ability to communicate urgency effectively when necessary.
- Capable of performing effectively under pressure and meeting deadlines consistently.
- Exceptional communication and organizational abilities are essential.
- Proficiency in computer skills is required.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Physical Requirements:
- Continuous engagement in activities such as bending, twisting, stooping, walking, talking, sitting, standing, kneeling, climbing, bending, and carrying materials/parts.
- Exposure to various weather conditions may be expected.
- Flexibility to work extended hours as needed.
- Routine lifting of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Required Certifications and Licenses
- Possession of a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Completion of training and experience equivalent to two years of technical/vocational school and five years of hands-on repair and maintenance of heavy equipment.
- Attainment of professional certifications relevant to the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment.
- Acquisition of any additional certifications necessary to fulfill assigned duties.
