Position: Revenue and Cost Manager
Location/s: Charlottesville, VA
Duration: Full Time – Direct Hire
Shift: 1st Shift Schedule
Pay Rate: $90,000 - $120,000/Annual (Depending on skills and experience)
 
Qualdoc is seeking a Revenue and Cost Manager to join a team specializing in the intricate transportation of oversized, complex, and project-related cargoes. This role will lead the revenue, cost, and collections processes. Reporting to the CFO, the Manager will bring an operations-obsessed mind set, build partnerships across the organization and with our vendors and customers.  The ideal candidate will bring experience demonstrating expertise in job costing and revenue recognition.  We value strong judgment, and the ability to operate independently and seek individuals who can forge cross-functional partnerships and collaborate effectively.

Optimizing Revenue Management:

    • Lead the charge in maximizing revenue streams through streamlined processes, from quoting to cash collection, ensuring precision and efficiency at every step.
    • Take the helm in refining and executing controls across the entire quote-to-collection spectrum, fostering transparency and rigorous accountability.
    • Shape contracts to perfectly align with company goals, ensuring every agreement contributes to our success story.

Efficient Financial Operations:

    • Master the art of month-end closings, harnessing the power of data analytics to craft agile accounting processes and robust reporting mechanisms.
    • Spearheaded efforts to expedite financial closures, guaranteeing timely and accurate insights that drive informed decision-making.

Holistic Ownership:

    • Navigate the complexities of commission management, ensuring meticulous accounting practices that empower our sales force.
    • Architect and refine credit risk policies and collection strategies to optimize working capital and fortify financial resilience.

Collaborative Excellence:

    • Elevate the invoicing experience for our valued customers, turning transactions into positive touchpoints.
    • Forge synergies across departments, collaborating with sales, sourcing, and operations to forge efficient, cross-functional workflows.

Qualifications for Success:

    • Hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Boast 6+ years of accounting expertise, including significant leadership experience and a track record of delivering impactful results.
    • Bring 2+ years of management experience to the table, guiding teams towards excellence.
    • Bonus points for freight audit or similar audit experience.
    • Command advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
    • Communicate with finesse, both verbally and in writing.
    • Thrive in fast-paced environments, leveraging strategic acumen to navigate complexities.
    • Exemplify discretion in handling sensitive information and confidential matters.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

    • Must pass a criminal background check (7-year felony + sex offender)
    • Must pass a pre-employment drug test (10 panels for recreational drugs and opiates)
