We are seeking an experienced IT & Tech Procurement Category Manager to lead the strategic sourcing and supplier management of a high-value technology category across multiple international regions. This role will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies, managing supplier relationships, driving cost efficiencies, and supporting sustainability objectives in partnership with senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Category Strategy Development – Design and implement procurement strategies for defined IT and technology sub-categories, ensuring alignment with business needs and market trends.
- Supplier Management – Build and maintain relationships with key technology vendors (including Tier 1/Tier 2), negotiate contracts, manage performance, and ensure compliance with agreed service levels.
- Cost & Cash Optimization – Identify and deliver cost savings and cash flow improvements through effective negotiations, demand management, and process efficiencies.
- Project & Pipeline Management – Build a robust pipeline of sourcing and savings initiatives, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery against targets.
- Budgeting & Forecasting – Provide input into procurement budgets, track actual spend against forecasts, and support financial planning processes.
- Sustainability & Compliance – Ensure responsible procurement practices, embedding ESG and CSR objectives into sourcing strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Partner with cross-functional teams (IT, Finance, Legal, Operations, HR, etc.) to deliver business value and support strategic objectives.
- Leadership & Collaboration – Lead cross-functional project teams, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to procurement excellence initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ IT procurement experience within a large, multinational organization.
- Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, IT, or related field (CIPS or IT industry certifications desirable).
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and contract management skills.
- Proven experience managing large-scale technology spend across multiple regions.
- Track record of delivering measurable savings and driving supplier performance improvements.
- Skilled in running RFX processes, managing complex programmes, and working under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.
