We are looking for a motivated engineer to develop and implement metrology methods for our solid-state battery manufacture processes. In this role, you will lead the collaboration with process owners to come up with metrology solutions that help address our process challenges
Your Responsibilities Will Include;
Take ownership of identifying, classifying, ranking defects in our processes and establish correlation between metrology findings and performances
Leading collaboration with our process, equipment and data teams and providing feedback to drive quality and yield improvements
Designing, acquiring and qualifying metrology instruments which meet production requirements
Implementing measurement system analysis to verify tool health and performance; standardizing imaging conditions and implementing calibration standards
Documenting SOP and training users
Maintaining, troubleshooting, performing basic repairs on instruments
Developing preemptive strategies for metrology problems

Minimum Requirements:
Education & Experience:
MS degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or Statistics
5 years of experience in metrology development in a production environment; experienced in defining metrics and spec limits
Familiar with Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE) and measurement system analysis (MSA)

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Deliver and thrive under pressure and tight development schedule; provide practical and implementable action items; drive the implementation with process owners and stakeholders
Clear and effective communications to coworkers, vendors and operators; Clear written and verbal skills to logically communicate ideas and thought processes
Able to multi-task with excellent time management; strive to root cause complex problems
Safe laboratory practices, especially in handling chemicals; able to work in glovebox, dry room and fume hood

Highly Desired:
PhD degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or Statistics
Significant experience with statistical process control, such as GR&R and MSA; expert in statistical analysis software such as JMP and SQL database query; experience with six sigma methodology
Flexible working hours to address unexpected events like process excursion, priority changes, and business needs
Familiar with continuous processes, such as roll to roll and inline inspection
Familiar with image analysis software and related coding skills to process a large body of data
