Your Role:
In this role:
•You will own the facilities systems of our large building to ensure maximum uptime. You will minimize down time due to scheduled activities and strive to eliminate unscheduled down time.
•You will optimize facilities operations to minimize costs and improve performance.
•You will participate in large tenant improvement (TI) projects to ensure timely execution, best value, and world-class design and performance.
•You will drive the facilities infrastructure design to enable quick and lower effort lab restructuring and equipment moves. Ensure extra capacity and extendibility.
•You will develop maintenance procedures and schedules.
•You will choose and manage maintenance and janitorial contractors. Negotiate maintenance contracts and ensure good execution from those hired.
•You will research facilities issues, big and small, by analyzing facilities data from our building management system (BMS) and other sources then suggest measures to solve these issues.

Minimum Requirements:
•You have a BSMET degree or similar mechanical equivalent and a minimum of 10 years of professional experience with facilities management.
•A minimum of 3 years’ experience directly managing a team of experienced in-house technicians.  
•You are a strong project manager and have experience managing facilities projects and utilizing shared resources.
•You like to use your hands and have a working knowledge of the following systems: HVAC, Clean Dry Air (CDA), Gas delivery, Chillers, Process Cooling water (PCW), chilled water, Dehumidifiers, Power delivery, vacuum pumps, and Hazmat storage.
•You are self-motivated and creative - a positive and open thinker. You work effectively in teams and independently. You have an autonomous working style and are capable of handling multiple projects and internal customers.

Highly Desired:
•BSME or equivalent, Construction management degree.
