As a member of the metrology team, you will help us conceive of, develop and build advanced measurement and imaging systems for collecting high velocity data predictive of battery performance. Come join us in a role that sits at the intersection of materials, manufacturing, machine vision, and data science!

What you will do:
Lead the development of critical component level measurements and tests that scale.
Build prototype measurement systems, fixtures and assemblies for testing.
Design and execute characterization studies utilizing a variety of tools to support new method development and test metrology hypotheses.
Collaborate with hardware and process team members to integrate methods into our production line.
Collect and analyze metrology data for the purposes of establishing measurement principles and monitoring performance.
Develop SOPs, educate and train technical team members.
Serve as a characterization and imaging authority to other team members.

Minimum requirements:
Education & Experience
M.S. in ME, EE, CS or or related field OR a B.S. and 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
Professional or academic experience analyzing data with Python or R.
Previous experience developing measurement, imaging, or characterization systems.
Experience with basic concepts of mechanical design.
Experience with imaging systems/machine vision.

Highly desired:
Previous experience in any of the following:
Machine vision software (camera control, image processing)
Sensors (optical, acoustic, thermal)
Measurement systems analysis, statistical process control, and design of experiments
Rapid prototyping of electromechanical systems
