We are looking for a diligent R&D Technician to support method development and physical analysis work. Our ideal team member is a skilled microscopist, who is meticulous and can work effectively in teams and independently.
The current schedule for this position is a 6:30 pm to 6:30 am.
You will operate a SEM to analyze a high volume of samples and deliver high quality images while meeting throughput goals
You will be responsible for preparing samples; entering and/or uploading data and interpreting and editing test requests
You will apply your previous lab experience to monitor and record key parameters during tests and consistently deliver, reliable test results
You will maintain a clear lab notebook, work with databases and document equipment maintenance records
Education & Experience:
You possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
You have working experience in chemical handling and sample preparations.
10+ years’ experience in SEM operation

You can work evenings, weekends and are flexible to work overtime on short notice.
Work is performed in a glovebox, dry room or fume hood that requires the use of fine motor skills and standing for extended periods of time, reaching and twisting motions with hands and lifting up to 15 lbs.
Experience working within a Li battery or analytical test lab
Experience preparing samples in an inert environment, such as glovebox operations, sample preparation (e.g. electrode depositions)
Experience in analytical tools and techniques (optical microscopy, XCT, polishing)
