People Operations Generalist

We’re looking for a dedicated People Operations Generalist who operates with uncompromising integrity and a can-do attitude. As a small team, we wear many hats, so our ideal team member will be excited by the opportunity to share and leverage their expertise but also learn and adapt to the needs of our growing organization.

THE ROLE:
In close collaboration with our Director of HR you will apply your previous experience and knowledge to: 
Ensure follow-through and closure on all questions, concerns, requests regarding benefits, payroll, recruiting, immigration, compensation, payroll, and all other people related matters
Help evaluate, create, and optimize our people processes and practices to support our broader efforts to make this a great place to work
Identify the need and develop policies and guidelines with a simple and lightweight approach
Lead the administration and compliance of our benefits plans and LOA (FMLA/STD/LTD, Workers Compensation) processes to increase the robustness of our HRIS and related systems
Support end-to-end immigration processes
Guide managers and team members to ensure consistent application and integration of company policies and practice
Partner with and coach managers through tough people relations issues including fact gathering, analysis, recommendations, and performance improvement progress

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years (8+ years without a degree) of previous People Operations experience in a fast-evolving environment in roles requiring you to exercise a high level of judgment and discretion
Solid generalist background with deep knowledge of at least one functional HR area, ideally benefits or systems
Experience supporting a non-exempt population
Strong knowledge of current employment and immigration laws and related government compliance regulation
Advanced proficiency in Excel and at least one HRIS system and experience using all other MS Office products
Meticulous and self-sufficient in keeping yourself organized and has the ability to shift gears and respond to change quickly and effectively
Genuine curiosity and enjoys staying on top of HR practices and trends yet understands and adjusts for the unique needs of every team
Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and minimal direction, yet knows when to engage others
Excited about rolling up your sleeves and doing whatever needs to get done
