We are a well-funded start-up located in San Jose, California with a new energy storage technology that will allow electric vehicles to outperform internal combustion cars. We have enabled a step-change in performance with a different chemistry and cell architecture that also benefits safety!  

Do you want to make a major contribution to this critical part of the future energy economy? As a member of the development team, you will help us build and develop methods for imaging and characterizing our key components at high volume manufacturing scales! 

WHAT YOU WILL DO: 
-  Design and manage metrology solutions that integrate with high throughput manufacturing equipment and our process data infrastructure.   
- Work closely with researchers, engineers, and our process team to identify and address key metrology and characterization needs 
-  Source, deploy and maintain state of the art equipment to address metrology needs. 
-  Develop novel characterization techniques and/or instrumentation. 
-  Perform data analysis using JMP or other statistics software tools. 
-  Develop SOPs, educate and train technical team members.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 
BS in Materials Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. 
Minimum five years of relevant experience working in a high-throughput manufacturing environment. 
Minimum two years of professional experience designing, building or managing metrology systems in a manufacturing environment 
Professional or academic experience analyzing data analysis with statistical software tools (JMP, Python, R, MySQL). 

Any of the following are a strong plus!
An advanced degree and hands-on experience in any of the following are a strong plus: 
Machine vision instrumentation (configuration, testing, and/or image analysis) 
Measurement systems analysis, statistical process control, and design of experiments 
High-throughput metrology in a manufacturing environment 
Materials characterization techniques (SEM, optical microscopy, spectroscopic techniques)
