About Culligan Quench
Culligan Quench’s purpose is to impact people’s lives and improve the earth by helping to eliminate the 500 million plastic bottles consumed each year.  We play a front-line role in the battle against single-use plastic water bottles by delivering on-demand filtered water solutions to more than 120,000 healthy and environmentally conscious customers across North America. Our bottle-free water coolers, ice machines, sparkling water dispensers and coffee brewers purify the existing water supply, providing an endless supply of clean water and water-based beverages for a fixed monthly fee, typically under a long term bundled service and rental subscription agreement.  Culligan Quench has grown from a small regional company to an international leader that had a successful NYSE public offering in 2016 and is now a strategic company owned by private equity backed Culligan.  Headquartered in King of Prussia, PA, Quench has more than 1,600 team members operating out of more than 90 locations across North America and Puerto Rico. The Position

    • Culligan Quench is seeking a highly organized, technically adept, and collaborative Technical Product Analyst, IoT to support the delivery, improvement, and field performance of our connected bottle-free water cooler platforms. This hybrid role blends Agile team facilitation, backlog and requirement management, and real-world product support, helping us bridge the gap between field operations and our global development teams.
    • This is not a software engineering role. Instead, you will represent Quench’s business priorities within Agile development teams, manage sprint planning and requirements, capture and triage field issues, and coordinate across stakeholders to drive reliability and innovation across our IoT platform.

Responsibilities

    • Agile Coordination & Feature Management
    • Serve as the voice of the business for internal and external IoT firmware and cloud software development teams.
    • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
    • Own and prioritize the IoT product backlog in JIRA; ensure clarity and readiness of stories.
    • Translate product and operational needs into well-structured user stories and acceptance criteria.
    • Requirements Definition & Documentation
    • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Service Operations to define and document feature requirements.
    • Develop technical specifications, process workflows, FAQs, and troubleshooting documentation.
    • Act as a liaison between field-facing teams and developers to ensure features meet real-world needs.
    • Field & Product Support
    • Triage and document field-reported issues related to IoT connectivity, firmware, or system performance.
    • Support new product rollouts, retrofits, and installations from a field operations perspective.
    • Use tools such as flowcharts, wiring diagrams, and basic electrical testing (e.g., multimeters) to support diagnostics.
    • Help validate firmware or feature changes before broader field deployment.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Interface with external development vendors, integration partners, and platform teams to ensure seamless interoperability.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders across Product, Service, and Engineering to ensure alignment.
    • Leverage device telemetry and support data to inform prioritization of features, fixes, and improvements.

Qualifications

    • 3+ years in a Scrum Master, Business Analyst, Technical Project Manager, or Product Analyst role, ideally in a connected device or IoT environment.
    • Strong command of Agile practices and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent.
    • Skilled in writing clear user stories, technical requirements, and acceptance criteria.
    • Experience working with cross-functional engineering and field service teams.
    • Comfortable reviewing device logs and systems behavior to assist in diagnostics or issue reporting.
    • Working knowledge of basic electronics and troubleshooting techniques.
    • Preferred
    • Exposure to IoT protocols and cloud platforms (e.g., MQTT, AWS IoT, Azure IoT).
    • Experience in water, ice, coffee, or similar point-of-use systems.
    • Certifications in Scrum (CSM/PSM), Business Analysis (CBAP/PMI-PBA), or Product Ownership.
    • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical or product-oriented field (or equivalent hands-on experience).

Attributes

    • Quick thinker with a systematic approach to diagnosing and resolving field issues.
    • Able to explain technical details to non-technical stakeholders, including service technicians and operations staff.
    • Calm under pressure with the ability to handle and de-escalate challenging field service situations.
    • Thrives in dynamic environments where priorities can shift quickly.
    • Adaptable to Culligan Quench's fast-moving landscape and evolving product ecosystem.
