Quidd, the OG digital collectibles and NFT marketplace and studio is looking to bring on a Director of Merchandising/Publishing to run all aspects of the marketplace publishing and metagame mechanics at Quidd. Founded in 2016, Quidd is the marketplace for Animoca Brands, the $5B blockchain gaming company and investment firm. Quidd has worked with over 325 of the world's biggest brands including HBO, Disney, Funko, Marvel, and others in bringing novel collectibles experiences and premium artwork to digital goods and NFTs. With over 8 million users, Quidd is one of the largest marketplaces in the web3 ecosystem.

The Director is responsible for the end-to-end merchandising, gamification, and performance of a drop; running QP2, Quidd's internal, proprietary publishing and marketplace dashboard; as well as daily and weekly reporting. The Director will also use Quidd's powerful metagame mechanics to ensure an engaging and awesome collecting experience.

This role is equal parts drop ideation and building in tandem with the Creative Director and execution through post-drop.


    • At least 10 years of professional experience, 6 of which are in producing, publishing management, or merchandising in collectibles, digital goods, digital media, or digital games
    • You've ideated, designed, and launched seamless consumer experiences that delight collectors and fans with a focus on long term engagement
    • Experience working in fast-paced startup environments and the ability to juggle multiple projects is a must
    • At least 4 years of experience with Content Management Systems
    • You are insanely detail-oriented: if a single character in a file name is off, you'll notice
    • Super proactive: if that character is off, you'll hunt down the right people for the fix
    • Statistically savvy—you can build and run reports on revenue
    • Awesome communicator—you're comfortable talking to collaborators and partners, ensuring a smooth working relationship
    • Crazy organized: you're the drop master and maintain calendars and timelines for all deliverables and milestones, no matter what
    • On top of your sh*t—Nothing falls through the cracks, ever

The Role

    • Support deals with Inventory Plans for drop concepts (from time to time)
    • Pre-deal: (1) Review Contracts & Definitive Agreements for product details and legal use(2)Co-host Creative Kickoff meeting (3) Co-develop draft Creative Brief, outlining target audience, collections, sets, grails, pricing, sequencing, metagames, and go-to-market(4) Provide feedback in curation of initial Mood Boards(5) Gain First Greenlight based on draft Creative Brief
    • Pre-Production: (1) Co-complete Creative Brief, including all outstanding details (sets, items, prints, packs, pricing, sequencing, metagame, aftermarket boosters, etc.) (2) Write all copy, including Collection Descriptions at all levels (brand, set, item, pack)(3) Oversee development of Go-To-Market plan, including design and development of all items on the Marketing Bill of Materials(blogs, tweets, teasers, ads, emails)(4) Seed community with reveals, teases, AMAs, etc., lining up Pre-Drop Demand ahead of the drop
    • Production: (1) Gain all Final Approvals from licensor or partner (2) Upload Drop Assets into inventory system, with quality spot-checking in DEV(3) Configure Pre-Release Packs and Whitelists(4) Coordinate with marketing on Influencer Seeding Programs, CRM, other marketing programs (5) Gain Last Greenlight for drop
    • Drop: (1) Release and monitor all markets(2) Monitor automated distribution of awards(3) Report on initial metrics
    • Post-drop: (1) Run deep analysis of consumer buying patterns and aftermarket activity in Post Mortem (2) Oversee post-drop programs (Recollects, Utility, Interoperability, Community)
