The Head of Returns is a true builder at heart, and will report directly to the CEO. We are looking for a Head of Returns to perform deep and broad analytics across the entire supply chain to  identify root cause, organize the effort into a series of discreet and metric driven work streams and marshal resources across the organization to make material impacts to all drivers of returns.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, quick learner, urgent  problem-solver and very results driven. The ideal candidate is one who is adept at finding and organizing data where it may exist inside or outside the company tech stack, leverages and implements technology wherever possible.  Key responsibilities are anchored in key competencies: Strategic Vision, High Facility with Data, Metric Driven, High sense of urgency, the ability to organize work and a demonstrated ability to work across the organization to drive results.

Responsibilities

    • Perform analytics to identify opportunities and effectively prioritize them based on maximum impact on profitability.  Opportunities will include but not be limited to: all aspects of Returns (from manufacturing to returns operations and all points in between)
    • Build project objectives and plans with aggressive timelines, well-defined business objectives, and metrics including leading indicators of progress where possible. Work with engineering and other cross functional teams to implement changes.
    • Establish clear processes for actively monitoring, measuring and reporting the state of each Returns work stream weekly (WBR) and monthly (MBR)Work closely with the finance team to properly define, measure and forecast the P&L impact of returns improvement workstreams over time.
    • Drive  the activities of cross-functional teams to meet all initiative objectives within defined timelines and progress metrics.
    • Use technology to drive superior outcomes throughout the returns process (from before order placement to returned goods)

Requirements

    • 10+ years of experience solving complex problems using deep analytics, structuring work, managing or influencing teams and measuring throughout the process
    • The ability to source and organize raw data from disparate sources into an insight rich operating framework.  Facility with C++ and SQL a +.
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented with a focus on execution, problem solving, improving processes and brand enhancement
    • The ability to derive technical product insights (consumer goods) and organize resources to effectively  act on them
    • Rapid and continuous learner and highly curious; always open to considering new perspectives; pro-active when changing course and facing added challenges
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
    • Performance driven and performance motivated - gets results and likes being in a culture that values performance
    • Product management and data background highly preferred
    • Will require some domestic and international travel
