Quince is a retail and technology company co-founded by a team that has extensive experience in retail, technology and building early stage companies. You’ll work with a team of world-class talent from Stanford GSB, Wish.com, D.E. Shaw, Stitch Fix, Urban Outfitters, Wayfair, McKinsey, Nike etc. 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, problem-solver and successful in combining technology and data into best-in-class outcomes. The candidate is energized by solving complex business problems and consistently effective in making high-judgment decisions at rapid pace amidst the frequent ambiguity that comes with charting a course of action with no precedent. Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development: Lead the design and development of mobile applications, ensuring they are feature-rich, performant, and user-friendly. This may include iOS and Android platforms using react native.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define and implement features that meet customer and business requirements.
Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Implement best practices, design patterns, and follow coding standards.
Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and maintain unit tests and UI tests to ensure the reliability and quality of the mobile applications. Participate in code reviews to provide constructive feedback to team members.
Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and optimize mobile apps for speed and responsiveness.
Security: Implement and adhere to security best practices to protect user data and ensure secure communication with the server.
Platform Awareness: Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile app development trends, and updates to mobile platforms (iOS and Android), and recommend technologies and strategies that enhance the user experience.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on the team, helping them grow and develop their skills.
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for the mobile applications, including architecture, code structure, and API documentation.

Requirement

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
    • At least 4+ years of professional experience in frontend mobile development.
    • Strong proficiency in React Native and JavaScript/TypeScript.
    • Experience with cross-platform mobile development frameworks.
    • Experience with iOS development. Android development is a plus but not mandatory.
    • Strong understanding of mobile app architecture and design patterns.
    • Experience with mobile app development tools and SDKs and Xcode.
    • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
    • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).Knowledge of web security principles and techniques.
    • Experience with performance optimization techniques.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Experience in developing and deploying web applications using cloud platforms such as AWS.
    • Familiarity with server-side technologies such as Node.js.
    • Contributions to open source projects or active participation in developer communities.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile app deployment.
