Quizlet’s mission is to help students (and their teachers) practice and master whatever they are learning. We are developing new learning experiences by modeling how students learn and drawing upon knowledge acquisition, retention, and pedagogy in cognitive science. Our marketing team is tasked with introducing Quizlet to the next 50 million learners (and beyond!). We work closely with product, design, analytics, business development and other teams to ensure that everyone who should be using Quizlet has heard about it.

The Lifecycle Marketing Manager will be responsible for executing on the email, push and on-site notification strategy that keeps our students coming back again... and again.. and again. You'll get to know and understand our customer funnel and lifecycle, and then work with product marketing and analytics to identify opportunities to positively influence our usage patterns. You'll build compelling seasonal email campaigns, enhance our lifecycle marketing strategy, and introduce new ways of reaching users to our team. As the first lifecycle marketer, you'll bring a can-do attitude to building HTML templates one day, to diving into deliverability the next, to analyzing data from your campaigns on the third. Overall success looks like highly engaging emails being sent to students and teachers who can't wait to open them, discover what's new and interesting for them at Quizlet, and then act on those messages to study, teach, purchase, or complete some other valuable activity.
What we are looking for
- 2+ years working in a lifecycle marketing function
- Experience working with ESPs to create and send both triggered and marketing emails
- Data driven with demonstrated ability to understand what's working (and not!) and execute against findings
- Understanding of HTML and an ability to edit and update existing HTML templates
- Past success in A/B testing of email and a track record of driving improvement on a large scale
- Track record of being able to work collaboratively and influence cross functionally across both creative and technical teams.
- Experience optimizing lifecycle marketing and funnels across multiple platforms and in multiple channels (email and push, mobile and desktop, etc)
- Proficient in SQL
