Who we're seeking
Qvest.US is expanding our QA team, and seeking a detail-oriented and curious Engineer to join us in Austin.

What you'll do

    • Work directly with our cross functional teams to help:
    • Assess project requirements
    • Formulate a strategy
    • Estimate QA work needed
    • Write both manual and automated test cases
    • Develop an automation test framework on projects
    • Write test plans for projects

What you'll bring

    • 4+ years of QA experience within software development, including working with project teams
    • Creating test documentation, test plans/strategies, test suites, and test cases
    • Experience with Java, JavaScript, TypeScript or Python
    • Design, develop and maintain test automation framework from scratch for both backend and front end (for example: using Page Object Pattern for UI automation)
    • Experience analyzing test reports to identify quality characteristics of software products  
    • Integration testing (have a broad view of the application, architecture, component and system integrations)
    • Comfortable potentially operating and owning QA, either solo or as a lead QA team member on a project
    • Comfortable presenting to external stakeholders
    • Heavy experience with API testing including a solid understanding of Restful API design
    • Experienced with browser development tools, REST Console, Selenium
    • Heavy experience with Git and associated tools
    • Querying databases like MS SQL / Oracle / MySQL
    • Extensive experience with web technologies
    • Participate in agile concepts such as daily stand up meetings, design and code reviews, code pairing, and continuous integration and deployment
    • Exposure to Atlassian tool suite (or like tool suite) for requirements/defect management etc.

Preferred Experience

    • Experience with AWS cloud testing or similar
    • Performance and Load testing experience
    • Writing users stories and acceptance criteria
    • Collaborating with team members that are co-located
    • Experience with mobile testing applications
    • Experience with BDD based frameworks
