Who we're seeking
Qvest.US is expanding our team, and we’re seeking an innovative & industrious Senior Python Engineer to join us in Austin.
What you'll do
- Work directly with leadership to contribute to the creation of engineering policies
- Assist in estimating technical projects
- Play an active part in the design and development of software
- Present solutions to clients as well as OnPrem team members
- Shape the kind of technologies that we are going to be using
What you'll bring
- At least 4-6 years in software development
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Experience in Python and Open Source technologies
- Experience with Service Oriented Architecture concepts and products
- Experience in implementing custom solutions
- Experience leading development teams
- Experience in deploying and leveraging software development best practices
- Experience in implementing and leveraging Atlassian tool suite (or like tool suite) for defect management, issues management, code check-in and deployment, and collaboration
- Experience in database design and deployment
Preferred Experience
- Experience and/or strong interest in the Media and Entertainment industry, specifically Studios or Broadcasters
- Scrum Master Certification
- Experience in implementing package solutions
- Experience in HTML5, CSS, Javascript, Ruby, JQuery, Famo.us
- Experience in iOS, Android
- Experience in Java
- Experience in database design and deployment
- Experience in systems integration
- Experience developing or overseeing Cloud-based solutions
- Experience pair programming
- Experience consulting in the Media and Entertainment industry, specifically Studios or Broadcasters
- Successful employment history with a tier 1 consulting or software development firm
- Digital Asset Management, Digital Supply Chain and workflow automation
