Who We're Seeking
Qvest is seeking a detail-oriented Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Tax Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. This role requires a strong background in tax-related processes, SAP configurations, and integrations with tax engines and e-invoicing tools. The ideal candidate will possess both functional and technical expertise in managing tax compliance within the P2P lifecycle while ensuring seamless system integrations and adherence to local statutory requirements.
What You'll Do
- Oversee and optimize the tax configuration within SAP to support indirect tax, withholding tax, and other statutory tax processes.
- Ensure integration and alignment of tax engines such as Thomson Reuters OneSource or Vertex with the SAP system.
- Support and manage end-to-end e-Invoicing processes, ensuring compliance with SAFT and other local statutory requirements.
- Configure and integrate e-invoicing tools like SOVOS or Pagero to align with organizational needs and legal mandates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address tax compliance challenges and implement solutions.
- Provide functional and technical expertise on system upgrades, enhancements, and testing related to tax and invoicing processes.
- Monitor changes in global tax regulations and recommend updates to systems and processes as necessary.
- Conduct training sessions and create documentation for end-users on tax and e-invoicing processes.
What You'll Bring
- 5-7+ years of experience in a Procure to Pay role
- 5+ years in a stakeholder-facing role
- Proven functional knowledge of SAP tax configuration (indirect, withholding, statutory).
- Functional and technical expertise in integrating Thomson Reuters OneSource or Vertex with SAP.
- Hands-on experience with e-Invoicing tools such as SOVOS or Pagero, including functional knowledge of local statutory requirements (e.g., SAFT).
- Strong understanding of tax compliance and reporting standards across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience managing tax-related components of P2P processes in a global organization.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve tax configuration and integration issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working at a large consulting firm (e.g. Deloitte, Accenture, etc.)
- Experience managing the implementation lifecycle (analysis, design, development, testing, deploying, support)
- Certification in SAP Finance or a related module
- Knowledge of automation tools or processes for tax reporting
