We're looking for a visionary leader with a deep understanding of software development principles, architecture design, and emerging technologies to join our professional services team. As the Director of Software Development Delivery, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our products and driving innovation within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of software developers and architects.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, helping them grow both personally and professionally.
- Drive performance excellence through effective goal setting, feedback mechanisms, and performance evaluations.
- Technical Strategy and Planning:
- Define and drive the technical vision and strategy for R3's products and solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical initiatives with business goals and objectives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to inform decision-making and innovation.
- Develop and maintain architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
- Software Development Lifecycle:
- Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, quality guidelines, and development best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement in development processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Champion a culture of agility and flexibility, promoting iterative development and rapid prototyping.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, customers, and partners to understand their needs and requirements.
- Act as a technical advisor, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and product roadmap planning.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven track record of leadership and management experience in software development and architecture roles.
- Deep expertise in software development methodologies, design patterns, and architectural principles.
- Hands-on experience with modern development languages, frameworks, and tools (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.).
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud computing, and microservices architecture.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Prior experience in blockchain / DLT technology or financial services industry is a plus.
