Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new algorithms and machine-learning-based approaches on robots.
- Develop innovative hardware systems
- Creatively apply state-of-the-art techniques from both in-house and laboratories around the world to solve real-world problems.
- System integration (hardware, realtime OS, low-level SW)
- Promote quality and reliability through regular code reviews
- Field deployments, robot testing, data collection
Requirements
- BS, MS and PhD in computer science, robotics, electrical/mechanical/aerospace engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience designing and developing software applications using C++ and Python in production environments
- Experience collaborating in large teams and large code base
- Experience working with mobile robots, machine learning, and other related applications
Bonus
- Experience with integrating complex hardware components, ensuring seamless operation across robotics platforms
- Experience with real-time operating systems, inter-process communication middleware technologies, and resource-sharing techniques for memory-constrained systems
- Experience with machine learning (reinforcement learning, imitation learning)
- Experience with machine learning toolkits (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, etc)
- Experience with LLM/VLMExperience with robotics toolkits (ROS/ROS2, OpenRAVE, MoveIt!, etc)
- Experience with planning algorithms and robot autonomyExperience with robot perception
- Experience with controller design, dynamic modeling, and optimization techniques
- Experience with partial sensing (POMDPs, Kalman filters, particle filters, etc)
- Experience with task planning (TAMP, STRIPS, MDPs, etc)
- Proven track record of publications in top-tier conferences and journals in Machine Learning, Robotics, or related fields (e.g. CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, TPAMI, IJCV, NIPS, ICLR, ICML, IJRR, ICRA, IROS, RSS, ACC, CDC, etc.)
