Venture CCO / Head of Sales (Maritime IoT)

Rainmaking Ventures is a venture development company. We create, accelerate, and scale new businesses with world leading corporations and entrepreneurs. Our model allows us to combine scale strengths and deep domain knowledge of corporates with the entrepreneurial execution of startups.
We are building a new spin-out venture for the maritime industry that is backed by a global industry group. 

The venture is created around an IoT product with state-of-the-art technology that has been tested with customers and soon ready to be scaled in the industry through existing global distribution channels.
We are now looking for a co-founding CCO (Chief Commercial Officer) who will work closely with the CEO supported by our venture team and our industry partner to scale and lead this venture.

The CCO will be responsbile for generating sales by developing cutting-edge strategies and procedures, and to build relationships with clients. The CCO should also work with the design and development teams to determine the features of the product to use as selling points. Shared responsibility for the company brand throughout the development and marketing of new products.
Most importantly then the CCO should be 100% focused on creating value for customers by utilizing digital solutions and IoT.

Technology Sales

    • Develop and mange customer relationships
    • Develop strong value propositions to clients
    • Identity customer needs for future development
    • Analyze customer satisfaction and feedback
    • Identity, prospect, and close sales with new clients.

Sales & Channel Partner Management

    • Build strong relationship with maritime channel partners
    • Coaches sales individuals, sets targets, KPIs
    • Develop and manage sales processes for best

Desired Expertise & Experience

    • Experience with Technology solutions sales in the maritime industry
    • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful commercialization strategies in growth companies / business units
    • Highly embedded in the maritime industry and have access to a large customer base
    • Preferable experience with selling and deliver service/subscription based IoT models
