We are looking for a detail-oriented accounts payable specialist to help manage our AP process by verifying invoice approvals, entering invoices into our ERP system, reconciling account statements, and communicating with our vendors. Experience with analyzing accounts payable processes, identifying areas where improvements can be made, and making process improvement recommendations to management is highly desired.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
•Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
•Collecting invoice approvals and entering approved payables into the system
•Ensuring proper coding of payables
•Assisting with the monthly close process
•Responding to vendor inquiries timely and professionally
•Collaborating with other departments on new vendor requests and providing guidance on AP process
•Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
•Maintaining vendor records; new vendor setup, process address/banking changes
•Preparing monthly expense accrual journal entries; and
•Continuing to improve the payment process.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•The finance department is team oriented and, from time to time, special projects will be assigned.

•Knowledge of general accounting procedures and financial controls;
•Proficient in data entry and management;
•Organizing and prioritizing;

•Information management skills and ability to meet deadlines; and
•Problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
•SAP S4 HANA experience a plus
•SOX compliance experience a plus
