Overview
We are seeking a talented and creative content writer to join our team on a freelance basis. As a Pop Culture Scriptwriter, you will create engaging and informative content covering a wide range of pop culture topics. Your writing will help our audience stay up-to-date with the latest trends, news, and analysis within the world of entertainment, music, sports, celebrities, internet trends, and more.
Responsibilities
- Produce up to 4 scripts daily, ranging from 500 to 800 words.
- Conduct thorough research on various pop culture subjects and write high-quality scripts that report on current events in pop culture.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, news, and developments in the pop culture industry to ensure that the content is current, relevant, and resonates with our target audience.
- Generate creative and attention-grabbing intros, as well as callbacks, to hook viewers and encourage them to keep watching.
- Use Gen Z trends and keyword research to optimize content for young audiences.
- Proofread and edit content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to our brand voice and style guidelines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a content writer or journalist with a strong focus on pop culture. Provide a portfolio or writing samples demonstrating your ability to write engaging and well-researched pop culture content.
- In-depth knowledge and a genuine passion for a wide range of pop culture topics, including movies, TV shows, music, fashion, celebrities, internet trends, and more.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to create compelling, informative, and well-structured content that resonates with our target audience.
- Strong research skills and the ability to gather information from reliable sources and synthesize it into engaging and informative content.
- Familiarity with GenZ audience trends and the ability to optimize content for a young audience.
- Proficiency in using content management systems and familiarity with social media platforms.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with the production team.

This is a freelance contract position, rate is per script delivered and depends on experience.
