At ReadySet, we’re building a distributed SQL cache that precomputes the results of prepared statements (i.e. parameterized SQL queries) and incrementally updates these results over time as the underlying data in your database changes.
ReadySet is wire-compatible with MySQL and Postgres, so it can be integrated with your existing application without code or database changes– ReadySet makes it easy for developers to build performant web, analytical, and internal applications regardless of whether they’re deployed to a single region or around the world.
We’re looking for people who are excited about exploring and productionizing the frontier of distributed systems and DB research to join our international, fully-remote team. You’d be a great fit at ReadySet if you're excited to build data infrastructure that makes modern read-heavy applications faster, simpler, and easier to deploy.
About this role
We’re looking for experienced and creative Solutions Engineers to work with customers and ensure that they are successful with the ReadySet product. In this role, you’ll work to understand the needs of highly technical users, facilitate onboarding, and build custom technical solutions based on customer needs.
Our users are infrastructure-aware Software Engineers, Cloud Engineers, and DevOps Engineers, and they’ll be excited to dig into the technical inner workings of ReadySet with you. You’ll educate them on ReadySet’s use cases and features; engage them to better understand their workflows, pain points, and goals; and help them have a smooth and successful experience using ReadySet.
In a regular week, you’ll attend initial sales meetings, build custom demos based on individual requirements, and help customer teams set up ReadySet within their infrastructure stack. You might also connect with more senior stakeholders to explain how ReadySet fits into their existing stack, help answer questions about ReadySet, and alleviate concerns that they may have. You’ll work closely with ReadySet’s engineering, product, and GTM teams to manage proof-of-concepts/trial agreements to qualify and pursue these new opportunities.
You’ll be on the front lines of working with ReadySet users throughout their lifecycle, from initial introduction to trial to adoption. Based on your experiences as the primary point-of-contact for potential and current customers, we’ll also count on you to help gather user feedback as important inputs into our product roadmap.
You may be a good fit if you have...
- 3+ years experience in a Solutions Architect / Sales Engineer / Field Engineering-type role
- Strong competencies in clearly articulating technical topics to both technical and business audiences, from IC level to senior management
- Ability to advocate for the product and for the customer
- Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects at once
- Experience working on cross-functional teams alongside marketing, business, and product
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or similar work experience
