Job Summary:
As Marketing Lead, you will own a full stack of marketing responsibilities with a strong focus on the creation of leads through various marketing campaigns and cross-channel offerings. You will have proven “full-stack” marketer skills in areas such as: ABM, lead generation, inbound marketing, content marketing, lead nurturing, sales funnel reporting, retention marketing, online advertising platforms, and marketing automation systems. You’ll own both the strategy and execution, and you’re ready to roll-up your sleeves and get hands-on with all the tools to support your programs. You will establish and refine customer insights, product differentiators, and messaging which will be used to create helpful materials for our team and for prospective customers across the customer journey. You will create go to market campaigns, customer communications, and materials that will propel aggressive sales growth goals.
Duties/Responsibilities:
● Lead market analysis, becoming a subject matter expert on industry communities, organizations, influencers, media, software and service vendors, and competitive offerings to Recess.
● Refine Recess Ideal Customer Profile, target personas, ABM target list and market segments, and establish positioning, messaging, and use cases/benefits to promote for each.
● Lead product launch strategy and execution for new features, covering go-to-market strategy, positioning and messaging, collateral creation, market and customer communications, and internal training.
● Lead the technical and creative strategy, production, and optimization of the Recess website, ensuring the website’s visual brand, product marketing content, and funnels build trust and enable buyers.
● Build and manage lead gen workflows to generate new leads across buy-side and supply-side of our marketplace. Ability to generate high volumes of clean, accurate leads using a combination of no-code automation tools and virtual assistants.
● Plan and execute paid digital strategy, managing an agency partner to launch, and optimize paid digital campaigns targeting our ICP, retargeting audiences and hotlist targets.
● Plan, launch, and optimize lifecycle marketing campaigns to nurture and convert people from one lifecycle stage to the next: Lead > MQL > SQL > Opportunity > Customer > Retention/Expansion.
● Identity, launch, and optimize new channels and levers that fuel the sales pipeline with new high-quality leads including product growth loops, affiliate marketing program, partnerships, webinars, IRL marketing, sponsorships, and other acquisition-focused campaigns.
● Define core marketing metrics, set goals, and lead reporting on the marketing function, working with the Director of Finance and company leaders to set and track the annual and quarterly marketing budget.
● Create methods for us to attribute and track ROI from campaigns across various different channels. Make data-based recommendations using test programs (A/B and multivariate testing) for how we can drive more conversions, revenue and efficiency within each channel.
● Manage marketing operations, including technology, reporting, and workflows for lead capture, qualification, scoring, nurturing, and routing to Sales or self-serve nurture campaigns.
● Identify areas of growth opportunity across the product and customer experience and contribute to optimizations, experiments, features, processes, and programs to increase growth.
● Manage the Marketing Coordinator to assist with executing and supporting marketing campaigns and initiatives.
Required Skills/Abilities
● 5-7 years of experience in B2B marketing for a marketplace (extra points) or SaaS company
● Experience setting marketing strategy AND executing: You’re able to balance strategic vision and operational excellence, from setting high-level team strategy to getting in the weeds planning launches and doing competitive research. This is an early-stage startup and you will be doing both.
● Marketing breadth: You understand channel, content, and comms strategy in addition to product marketing strategy.
● Writing ability: You’ve written short-form and long-form content, and can point to examples of your writing.
● High-quality bar: You've developed marketing strategies and tactics that put the customer first, while hitting growth goals at the same time.
● Proven track record of lead gen results using automation, online & social advertising, inbound marketing, and email marketing tactics.
● Goal setting & prioritization: You know how to set both short-term goals and long-term goals that are used for prioritization and focused on impact.
● Love of all metrics; you dive into the numbers every day
● Excellent communicator, listener, collaborator and leader, with attention to detail, ability to multitask and meet deadlines, accurate, organized, strategic thinker.
● Excellent strategic planning skills; proven success building with a vision towards a demand gen machine
Salary & Compensation:
● $150-200k
