The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will support the manufacturing engineering team in this hands-on position by managing a project to increase transducer catheter device throughput.  The ideal candidate should have a positive demeanor with a strong work ethic. This position will report to the Operations Manager. 

Responsibilities and Duties

    • Under the supervision of assigned engineer or experienced designee, perform work to plan, execute and complete project with any of the following duties:
    • Effectively communicate issues and solutions cross-functionally in an end of term presentation.
    • Complete documentation to ensure product meets appropriate internal and industry standards.
    • Support development, implementation, and execution of the testing and validation.
    • Assist with fixture design, acquiring off-the-shelf tooling and equipment, and implementing new fixturing.
    • Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work as part of a project or as a total project.
    • Develop, characterize, and optimize catheter manufacturing processes.
    • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

    • Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
    • Must be returning to school upon completion of assignment.
    • Must have work authorization in the country to which they are applying to work.
    • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) 
    • Familiarity with Python/Matlab/C++
    • Basic statistical techniques 
    • Basic CAD skills a plus, SolidWorks preferably

$20 - $25 an hour
Commensurate with skills, experience, education, etc.
